Math test Wednesday, October 19th
Our math test is based on everything we have learned today. Students will need to understand place value to the hundred thousands or millions, ordering numbers from least to greatest, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and word problems involving these.
We have been reviewing for the test for three days. I am confident the class will do well overall!

New projects in class
We have begun a number of new projects in class over the last week.
In literacy, we are creating a character sketch of the main character in the novel we are reading about the Holocaust.
We have also begun a new science unit about biodiversity and students will be creating a boardgame with a partner in order to consolidate learning.
In addition to these, students will be working on what I call a passion project. Every Friday afternoon for one period, students will have the opportunity to learn about a subject or topic of their choice and create something to show their learning and share it with the class. This is also something that can be done in their free time during class should they finish other work ahead of schedule.
