We are learning about while numbers. We are beginning with place value and comparing and ordering numbers. Following that we will be moving onto adding and subtracting 4 digit numbers and multiplication and division. Please practice the times tables at home.
We will be using the problem solving strategy called UPDATE (U understand the problem, P plan how you will solve it, D do the plan, A analyze your answer, T and E tell explain.)
Week of September 26th
- we are practising addition and subtraction strategies including using mental math to break numbers down and solve questions in our heads.
October
- we are focusing on multiplication and division (facts, procedures, and word problems)
